Friday 8 November
12:00pm- 4:00pm
Labour has promised to comprehensively support local energy, including already removing planning blockages to onshore wind and, through GB Energy, offering up to £600m in funding available to local authorities and up to £400m in low-interest loans available to communities, as well as setting an ambition for 8 GW of small-scale and medium-scale community energy projects.
This has encouraged renewed and new interest in the community energy sector from experienced community organisations, local authorities, climate action groups, and individuals. We welcome all those interested in community energy to join us at National Grid Electricity Distribution’s forum to learn from peers and experts, network with other attendees and talk to National Grid about your projects. The event will include presentations, workshops and breakouts and plenty of networking time, and is open to groups and individuals of all levels of experience.
