Gareth has over two decades of director-level experience across infrastructure project finance, energy policy, consultancy, and in the leadership of high-growth, insight-driven businesses that serve the energy sector. He most recently served as the CEO of Cornwall Insight, a prominent energy analytics, research and consultancy firm. Before that headed a successful renewable energy project finance team at Barclays, as well as spending time at the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) devising policy as part of the Electricity Market Reform (EMR) programme.
In addition, Gareth holds several advisory and non-executive positions across the businesses directly engaged in the energy sector, and for investors involved in funding energy infrastructure. His expertise is in the commercial and investment aspects of the energy transition, particularly in providing clarity and insight in the space where investment risk and return assessment meets with energy market design and policy frameworks.
