 | Lord Robin Teverson Robin speaks on energy, climate change and biodiversity issues in the House of Lords, and has previously chaired the House’s EU Environment select committee. He also chairs the battery storage development company Aldustria Limited. Another of his roles is trustee of the Green Purposes Company with holds the ‘green share’ in the privatised Green Investment Bank. Robin lives with his wife in Cornwall and they have two daughters. |
 | Sarah Jarman Sarah Jarman is the Director of Grants and Development for the MCS Charitable Foundation. The Foundation’s vision is a world where everyone has access to affordable and reliable renewable energy and low carbon technologies. Sarah is a professional fundraiser with a track record of raising transformational philanthropy for environmental and health projects in the university and third sectors. Sarah is passionate about reducing the impact we have on our planet through energy efficiency and accelerating widespread adoption of micro renewable technologies. |
 | Neil Kenward Neil has been Ofgem’s Director for Strategy and Decarbonisation since April 2020. Prior to this, Neil spent five years as head of Energy and Environmental policy and spending at HM Treasury. This followed a range of energy, economic, and strategy roles across the UK government, including working in Tony Blair’s Strategy Unit, running the Foreign Office economics network, and head of Globalisation and Emerging Markets in the Treasury. Neil started his career in the private sector, as a consultant on energy and public policy questions, and is an economist by training |
 | Suzanna Hinson Suzanna Hinson works across several of the workstreams at the Green Finance Institute. Suzanna's background is in energy policy. Her previous role was as the energy specialist for the House of Commons Library which involved advising Parliamentarians on several key energy issues including the net zero decarbonisation target and the Ten Point Plan. Suzanna has also worked with the Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) Committee including on inquiries into energy networks, energy efficiency, and clean growth. In 2019, Suzanna worked on secondment with the Committee on Climate Change, including on the Sixth Carbon Budget. |
 | Catherine Cleary Catherine Cleary is a Grid Connections Specialist at Roadnight Taylor. Catherine has worked as a grid connection specialist for 10 years. Until 2021, Catherine headed up the grid connections function at GRIDSERVE and, prior to that, was Principal Consultant for TNEI Services. Catherine has provided technical expert support to Ofgem in their reviews of electrical connection costs, connection offers and other processes and standards over several years. Catherine has a deep understanding of the technical, commercial and regulatory considerations of connecting energy projects at both distribution and transmission level. |
 | Anna Carolina Tortora Anna Carolina Tortora, an Italian/Colombian/Canadian MIT alumna with a background in Aerospace Engineering, currently heads the Department of Innovation Strategy for National Grid’s System Operator, for both Gas and Electricity. Prior to this, Carolina held a similar position in Rome at the Italian TSO, Terna Spa, where she successfully led the deployment of the largest high-voltage connected storage plants (batteries) in Europe. Carolina splits her time between National Grid ESO, and her husband Luca and their son, Matteo. |
