This online forum helped community and local energy stakeholders in Northern Powergrid’s region to understand Ofgem’s minded-to decision on the Network Access and Forward-looking Charges Significant Code Review (SCR) and its potential impacts on local energy projects. These proposals were explained by experts on network charging and its impacts on decarbonisation of our energy system, and we invited community energy representatives to give their feedback on the proposed changes. This feedback was used to form the basis of a consultation response from Northern Powergrid, on behalf of community energy stakeholders, to influence the final decisions on how we pay for the network.
