Octopus Energy, Exeter Community Energy and Zap Map were amongst winners announced yesterday, on 30 March, for the 2022 Green Energy hosted by Regen and sponsored by specialist grid consultancy Roadnight Taylor.

The Awards are a leading national celebration of innovative technologies, pioneering companies, and inspiring individuals shaking up the energy system and driving towards a zero carbon future. The prestigious awards ceremony, now in its nineteenth year, is a highlight of the sustainable energy calendar.

After more than 120 nominations were judged by a panel of experts, a shortlist of finalists was revealed last month, with the winners announced at the sell-out ceremony hosted in the historic venue of the Bath Assembly Rooms.

The ceremony yesterday highlighted the important role of the clean energy sector in addressing the current energy crisis.

Merlin Hyman, chief executive, Regen, said, “The 2022 Green Energy Awards showcased the extraordinary range of innovative zero carbon solutions available and the pioneering individuals committed to bringing them forward. The inspiring award winners and nominees demonstrate we have the ability to end our addiction to fossil fuels and will, I hope, galvanise us all to take even bolder action towards net zero.”
