This year, BEN’s Energy Transition conference is on how to move from climate activism into climate action, focusing on a “just and sustainable energy system”.
If we are going to achieve carbon neutrality and tackle climate change, we’ve all got to take tangible actions across every area of our lives: at home, work, play and through pushing for and enacting policy change. Our conference on November 8th at City Hall will examine how Community Energy can be the thread that binds these strands together. We’ll highlight the opportunities collaboration can bring, and why we need more of it between individuals, business, communities and local authorities.
Expect presentations from a wide range of perspectives, including community groups, activists and policy makers who’re all helping accelerate the place of change in different ways. Get involved in our interactive workshop session that aims to kickstart new collaborations enabling Community Energy to scale up, turn barriers into opportunities and address the climate emergency. By the end of the day, we’ll have a clear message for our government and funders on what support we need to turn activism into action, whatever the uncertainties in the world.
Event finishes at 6pm with drinks and networking until 7pm.
