This autumn Western Power Distribution and Regen have been running sessions to help community energy groups to identify and support vulnerable customers – particularly those who may struggle during a power cut. As well as explaining more about WPD’s Priority Service Register and how to join, other steps included fuel poverty support measures, help understanding smart meters, power cut resilience, and energy saving advice.

This free half day workshop featured speakers from Western Power Distribution, Centre for Sustainable Energy and Regen.

Attendees at the event also received a pack of information to assist in engaging these vulnerable groups with the Priority Services Register (PSR), smart energy, smart meters and energy saving measures. If you like to receive a pack please contact hstanley@regensw.co.uk
