Powered by the Solar Fire Engine a day of inspiring talks, hands-on workshops and short films is set to create a buzz around renewable energy and how you and your community can be part of the solution.
The day will focus on three themes:
> Saving Energy in the Home
> Storing and sharing Energy
> Energy generation in the community
Organisers of the day, Transition Bro Gwaun (TBG), will showcase their recent work on their wind turbine and tidal project. Alongside TBG there will be a wide range of speakers and guests demonstrating the power of renewable energy in the home and in the community.
Talks include:
Tidal turbines and ‘active buildings’ that generate their own solar energy; how to get involved in community energy and exploring the benefits of electric vehicles; and creating a vision for Fishguard to be powered by community energy by 2030. The day sees a broad spectrum of Energy solutions with a particular emphasis on how communities can take the power.
