Chair: Richard Palmer, senior consultant, Roadnight Taylor
The markets and revenues working group looks at key market opportunities and new business models for storage, including future plans from the system operator and distribution system operators, existing and emerging markets and network charging reforms.
The agenda focused on network charging, the role of the Future System Operator, and behind-the-meter installations:
- Network charging: Access and Forward-looking SCR. Poppy Maltby, Head of Cities and Regions at Regen talked through the Regen/ESN response to the recent Ofgem Minded-to decision on the Access and Forward-looking SCR.
- Proposals for a Future System Operator role – BEIS consultation. An opportunity for members to give their views on this important consultation and feed into our response.
- Behind-the-meter technologies. An open discussion with members about behind-the-meter installations and what challenges they face in terms of installation, connection, operation and other treatment (charging, taxes etc).
These meetings are exclusively for the Electricity Storage Network members. If you are not currently a member of ESN but would like to find out more, contact Hannah Stanley hstanley@regen.co.uk
