This event brought together key players in the renewables and storage sector to discuss the key challenges in the planning system and initial policy suggestions for planning reform. We heard from leading planning experts including Electricity Networks Commissioner Nick Winser, whose insights helped us collectively refine and shape the proposals that Regen will now put forward to policymakers. As the general election approaches and political parties carve out their policy agendas, there is a timely opportunity to try to influence senior policymakers and Parliamentarians on planning reform. We have since set up a Regen members’ Planning Working Group to continue this area of work.
