The Green Energy Awards 2024 Shortlist
We are pleased to announce the shortlisted nominations for this year’s annual Green Energy Awards hosted by Regen.
Octopus Energy, Vattenfall and Power Up North London are amongst those shortlisted for their outstanding efforts in transforming the UK energy sector.
The awards are a leading national celebration of pioneering innovation and sustainable development of the UK’s energy system. More than 100 entries were submitted this year by companies, communities and individuals across the UK for consideration in six categories – a testament to the incredible efforts of the renewable and clean energy sector over the past few years.
“Across the UK there are inspiring people leading pioneering projects and paving the way to a zero carbon energy system. The Green Energy Awards are all about celebrating their achievements and inspiring us all to rise to the challenge of transforming how we power our lives and heat our homes.” – Merlin Hyman, chief executive, Regen
The shortlisted nominations will now go through to the final stages of judging, conducted by an independent panel of expert judges. The winners are set to be announced at the sell out awards ceremony at Bristol Harbour Hotel on Thursday 21 March, hosted by climate comedian Stuart Goldsmith.
Nominations were accepted in the following categories:
- Clean energy scheme
- Community energy initiative
- Local and public net zero transformation
- Net zero energy developer (sponsored by Bevan Brittan)
- Net zero energy pioneer (sponsored by National Grid)
- Whole System Technology Innovation (sponsored by GA Energy)
The awards are a great opportunity to network, entertain clients, reward team members and see some of the best examples of sustainable energy enterprise and innovation being recognised. This years event is now sold out but further details regarding the awards dinner can be found online and you can contact Hannah at hstanley@regen.co.uk if you are interested in joining us for 2025.
