Andrew joined Regen in 2024 and works across projects relating to strategic network planning. At Regen, Andrew has helped deliver analysis for the National Infrastructure Commission relating to future drivers of electricity network investment, and is leading the delivery of a Local Area Energy Plan in Yorkshire. In addition, Andrew is also leading an innovation project alongside the Carbon Trust and Innovate UK to further develop thinking on pragmatic and achievable approaches to local net zero planning.
Andrew joined Regen from ERM, where he led decarbonisation-focused projects across the power sector, energy networks and built environment as a senior consultant and project manager. Principally, he was responsible for the delivery and management of multiple distribution future energy scenarios (DFES) projects for UK DNOs, which allowed him to develop a deep analytical understanding of decarbonisation across multiple technologies, industries and energy vectors, including heat, transport, renewable generation and hydrogen.
Prior to this, Andrew worked in renewables development as an asset manager. He also completed a graduate placement with Regen in 2020, during which he researched proposed market changes to network use-of-service charges and their potential impacts on decarbonisation progress.
Andrew’s background is in engineering and he holds a first class master’s degree in engineering design from the University of Bristol.
