Regen welcomes today’s news that the UK government has committed to a net zero emissions target by 2050. For the county that led the industrial revolution to commit to zero emissions is a historic moment in the fight against a climate crisis.
The forthcoming Energy White Paper provides an early opportunity to back this commitment up with policies. Regen is engaging with government on the policy and regulatory framework we need to see to enable the shift to a smart, decentralised and decarbonised energy system.
