SALARY

£39- £49k - dependent on experience In addition to annual bonus, which is dependent on company performance.

THE ROLE

As a senior analyst at Regen, you will lead projects and people to present compelling data analysis and narratives and engage with key policy makers and industry players to shape the transformation of our energy system towards net zero. In particular, you will:

  • Problem solve, manipulate and analyse large datasets, developing innovative methodologies to underpin our pioneering projects.
  • Lead areas of Regen’s work to shape the net zero policy agenda, working with the team to develop our thought leadership and engaging with policy makers and opinion formers to shape policy thinking and present well evidenced policy recommendations.  
  • Lead the delivery of Regen outputs to address barriers to the clean energy transition, producing high quality written and graphical reports and analysis.
  • Project manage key Regen projects, leading client relationships, managing project teams and budgets and ensuring high quality and impactful work.

We are particularly interested in a senior analyst to specialise in energy markets.  This could be someone with experience from the energy retail or trading space, or with existing experience of analysing energy markets.  

Skills and experience

  • 3-5 years experience within the energy industry (or related sectors)
  • Educated to degree or masters level (or equivalent qualification) with good grades in a relevant subject
  • Energy market or data analysis skills, either through:
  • Experience using a range of analysis software or programming languages, including, for example, but not limited to: Excel, SQL, R, GIS and Python
  • And/or analysis of energy markets and strategies to optimise energy assets or the energy system as a whole.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, able to engage with senior audiences and present a compelling, evidence based, call for action.
  • Aptitude for presenting analysis in compelling graphical formats, including charts, maps and infographics
  • Able to manage projects and produce well-written technical and non-technical reports
  • Able to contribute to client engagement and stakeholder interaction.
