We are pleased to showcase this year's key achievements in our annual review, which details how we've worked together with our members, partners and friends to overcome barriers in the energy transition and make progress towards a just transition to net zero energy.
Five years ago we said we were at the start of ‘a decade to make a difference’. Now we stand at a pivotal moment: with a new government in place, there’s a clear national mission to drive forward clean energy before the decade is out.
You, our members, have shown you are ready to get on with delivering the projects needed to deliver that mission. But we can’t do that without making significant changes to our energy system: reforming how we connect to the grid, the planning system and market structures. Perhaps most importantly, we need to ensure all this happens in a way that brings everyone along.
In this shared endeavour, Regen’s role is to set out a pathway to clean energy that is fast and fair. Over the past year we’ve stepped up our work with you on overcoming barriers, whether that’s getting a grid connection or moving through the planning system at a reasonable pace. And we have focused on ensuring the energy transition delivers for people and communities.
Together we can take this new political will and make a clean energy system a reality. Your inspiring projects have shown what can be achieved. Imagine what we can do now the brakes are off.
