Jessica joined Regen as an Energy Analyst in April 2024. Her research specialises in acceptance of renewable technologies, community engagement, and energy justice. She works across three themes: achieving a just transition, communities and planning, and energy demand.
Jessica holds a PhD in geography and sustainable development from the University of St Andrews, where she identified the importance of community ownership, energy justice and local context in shaping acceptance of onshore wind energy projects. She is particularly passionate about finding avenues to more meaningfully engage and bring communities along on the net zero transition. When she isn’t working, you can find her outside – usually in the hills or by the sea.
