Electricity Storage Network lead

Olly leads the Electricity Storage Network, the industry group and voice for grid-scale electricity storage sector in GB. He is an expert in effective stakeholder engagement, working closely with our members, chairing and facilitating working groups, presenting on key issues and writing consultation responses. While building and maintaining key relationships with our member organisations, policy makers (DESNZ), regulators (Ofgem), National Grid ESO, and other network operators.

Since taking on the management of the ESN in 2018, Regen has developed the association into a strong voice in the storage and wider energy sector, with a diverse membership of over 90 leading electricity storage sector organisations from across the different market actors.

Specialist knowledge areas include:
– Energy storage policy & regulation
– Energy storage services and markets
– Energy sector policy and regulation
– Electricity networks and grid connections
– Local energy innovation

Olly is  an active member of the following external groups/forums:
– Energy Networks Association – Open Networks project challenge group
– National Grid Customer Connections Steering Group.

In my spare time, I volunteer as a non-exec director for Totnes Renewable Energy Society, my local community energy group, and attempt to run up hills (ideally off-road).
